Tribute Native Trees

Over 70 species of native trees grow within DuPage County's forest preserves. These trees provide visual beauty, offer habitat for wildlife and improve the quality of the air. They can also serve as living legacies.

Green Fund $500
Individuals can support the Forest Preserve District's mission of conservation by making a donation to fund plantings and enhanced landscaping throughout the District.  Each donation includes an engraved leaf on a recognition board in the lobby of District headquarters in Wheaton and mailed notification to the honoree or honoree's family.
 Tribute Tree2
Marker for Existing Tree $1,500
Donors may also choose to work with the District to identify existing trees for tributes.  With this option, a marker is placed near the tree, and the Forest Preserve district notifies the honoree or honoree's family.
Marker with New Tree Planting $2,500
A 2.5- 3.5-inch-diameter tree will be planted in the spring or fall in a location mutually agreed upon by the donor and the District. The District will also place a marker near the tree and notify the honoree or the honoree's family.
