What is the Friends?
Established in 2010, the Friends is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising arm of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Guided by an independent volunteer board and executive members, the foundation works to advance the District’s vision through philanthropic endeavors.

How does the Forest Preserve District benefit from the Friends’ efforts?
The Friends accepts financial and in-kind donations from individuals, corporations and groups (such as those featured below) that support the forest preserves and Forest Preserve District programs and events.

What is the Ambassadors Circle?
Donors who contribute $100 or more in one year automatically become part of this exclusive group, which receives special recognition, offers and updates as well as invitations to Ambassadors Circle-only programs, experiences and receptions.

How can I make a donation to the Friends?
Designate it to support your favorite forest preserve, program or priority project, or request that it goes where it's needed most. Learn about the Friends’ current priority projects

Ways to Give:

Give by cash. Please drop off at District Headquarters or mail to Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, 3S580 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189

Give by check. Write your check payable to Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, designate in the memo line where you would like to designate your gift, and mail to 3S580 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189

Give by credit card. Please call the Friends Foundation office at 630-933-7097 or make your gift at any time online at dupageforest.org/donate.

Give by stock, recurring gift, payroll deduction, or bequest (planned gift). Please contact the Friends Foundation office at 630-933-7097 or fundraising@dupageforest.org to set those methods up or get your questions answered.

Give in-kind through a donated item, supplies, or a piece for our collections. Please contact the Friends Foundation office first before dropping off any gifts. Per our Gift Acceptance Policy, all contributions need to be vetted through staff.
